We had a fantastic festive fair raising an incredible £4000. Blackthorn would like to thank everyone who contributed to making it such a special day!

Blackthorn’s summer jazz night was a resounding success with a superb evening had by all.  Dr Jazz were as fantastic as ever and so was the creole / cajun supper especially the Mississippi mud pie created by our Blackthorn chefs!! All set against Blackthorns beautiful garden lit by nightlights.  The best news of all £712 was raised for the Trust.

Biodynamic Day was held on 10th October, a beautiful Autumnal day within the garden. Many workshops and talks took place which included, bread and compost making, the sowing and planting calendar, BD preparation, bee keeping to name a few were well attended and the stalls and café were really busy. The day was a great success and enjoyed by all.

Summer Fun

We had great fun at our quiz night in June so much so that we are holding another event in November!

The Trust has continued to attend regular farmer markets and fairs throughout the summer selling our produce and sharing what we do with the wider community.

We were pleased to support The Bearsted Fair, Cornwallis Big Bonanza, Boughton Monchelsea School Summer Fayre and the Maidstone Mela.
