Make a donation

Much of our work is possible because of the support we receive from donations. You can donate HERE using PayPal or contact us on 01622 828 382 if you would like to make regular donations, or if your business would like to support us

Visit our café and garden

Our café and garden are open to the public from Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm.

All of our dishes are prepared on-site using as much produce from our biodynamic garden as possible. We also sell artisanal bread, oils, teas, beautiful crafts and stained glass, all of which have been lovingly made in our workshops

All proceeds go towards the running of the trust, and every penny you spend with us really makes a difference

We are also part of Kent Charities Group – a small group of local charities who fund raise together by putting on an annual dinner and by having a fantastic Christmas raffle each year. Find out more about Kent Charities Group HERE

Volunteer in our charity shop

If you have a few hours to spare each week we would love to hear from you. We provide full training and a friendly supportive atmosphere in which to work. For further details please contact us on 01622 828 382

Volunteer as a workshop or cafe assistant

We rely on a tireless team of tenacious volunteers to help run our cafe and workshops. We look for people with a kind, patient and positive disposition who are skilled and able to support vulnerable adults in our workshops.

Please note that we carry out a DBS check on all volunteers

Fundraise on our behalf

There are all kinds of fun ways to raise funds for charity. This year we are collecting foreign currency, both current and out-of-circulation, coins and notes. We have a drop-off point in our cafe. All donations gratefully received.

We are also open to any crazy ideas may have. This year, Friend of Blackthorn, Michael Lawrence is doing a wing walk, and in 2018 Susie Chassagne became a white water kayaker in just six months. Watch the highlights of her Kayak for Blackthorn challenge here: https://blackthorn.org.uk/?p=1480
